Translate DNA to protein in six frames
Paste DNA to see the protein in all three forward and three reverse frames, using the standard genetic code. Stops show as *. Open reading frames from ATG to a stop are highlighted, and the longest one is called out with its position.

How the frames are read
Frames +1, +2 and +3 start at the first, second and third base of the sequence as pasted. Frames −1, −2 and −3 do the same on the reverse complement, so they read the bottom strand 5′ to 3′. Positions are given in the coordinates of the sequence you pasted.
An open reading frame here starts at the first ATG after a stop, or after the start of the frame, and ends at the next stop codon. One that reaches the end of the sequence without a stop is still shown and marked as having no stop. Codons with IUPAC codes translate when every possible reading gives the same amino acid (GCN is A); otherwise they show as X.
